Lyz’s story is a powerful testament to her unwavering commitment to making a difference and leaving a positive impact. In this exclusive interview, she not only opens up about her experiences but also unveils the secrets behind building a work family and highlighting the joys that come with it.

How long have you been a part of the KION NA family?

Ten months.

In the length of time, you have been at KION NA, what accomplishment makes you most proud?

In my time at KNA, I think I am most proud of my work on the preparation to get the team over to Stribro for their six-week training.  It was interesting working with Czech embassy, as well as our team at the Stribro facility, to coordinate all the required paperwork for the Schengen Visas and to see everything come to fruition.  Additionally, it was a great way for me to get to know those team members better and I loved seeing the photos and hearing their stories when they returned.

What do you think makes an employee stand out in an organization?

A desire to make a difference.  That could be something as small as trying to make someone smile to offering to help with a project that is outside of your normal purview. I believe that people recognize when someone is trying to make a positive impact at an organization.

What motivates you?

I am motivated by my desire to make the daily lives of those with whom I work a little easier and to be an integral part of the KNA team.

What is it about the culture at KION NA that makes you excel in your position?

Comradery. I love that this company feels like a family, and most people are willing to help if/when needed. That drives me to do the same, and I feel like that helps me excel at assisting my executives and their teams.

What do you think it takes to be an exceptional teammate?

Open and honest communication.

Which KION Group shared value resonates most with you?  Integrity, Courage, Collaboration, or Excellence

Collaboration. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Looking to the future, what are you most excited about?

I am excited to keep learning more about the business and company, and to utilize this knowledge for continued personal and professional growth.
